HOW WE HELP
Support & Resources, Connections, Education & Advocacy
WHAT DOES SEE ME DO?
At See Me Neurodiverse, we are committed to offering a wide range of programs and projects to support neurodiverse families. We provide resources, organize community events, and host peer support meetings. Our dedicated team works tirelessly to ensure that neurodiverse families receive the support and understanding they deserve.
SUPPORT & RESOURCES
Many of us have been through it before, so we’re able to help guide you through getting a neuropsych evaluation, services with the county, working with schools on IEP and 504 plans, and more. We offer peer support meetings for parents and caregivers and meet 1-on-1 with families who need additional support.
Resource Accessibility
We are dedicated to ensuring that neurodiverse families have access to the resources they need. Our goal is to make these resources easily accessible, providing vital information and support to those who need it most.
Peer Support Meetings
Our peer support meetings offer a safe space for neurodiverse individuals and their families to connect and share experiences. These meetings provide a valuable opportunity to gain support, guidance, and understanding from others who have similar experiences.
Meet 1-on-1 with Parents
Being neurodivergent or raising a neurodivergent child can be stressful enough on its own. We are there for families who are struggling and need additional support. Whether it's meeting for coffee or a playdate, we're here to support you and offer potential resources to help you on your journey.
CONNECTION
See Me hosts and participates in a variety of events throughout the year. From support meetings to playground meetups to sensory-friendly movies, game nights, or farm fun outings, we want to build a community where everyone feels welcomed.
Community Events
We organize a variety of community events designed to bring neurodiverse families together. These events provide opportunities for connection, support, and the chance to share experiences in a welcoming and understanding environment.
Family Meetups
Building connections between not only parents but also kids is a priority for See Me. Social settings can be difficult for neurodivergent adults and kids, and meeting other families who get it can make a world of difference, reminding you that you're not alone on this adventure.
Collaborative Partnerships
We actively seek collaborative partnerships with organizations and individuals who share our commitment to supporting neurodiverse families. By working together, we can amplify our impact and reach more individuals in need of support.
Education & Advocacy
We strive to educate and bring awareness and acceptance about neurodivergence to our communities and beyond, working towards making our world a more inclusive and welcoming space. We participate in community events, advocate for inclusion, and provide educational resources to the community.
Awareness & Advocacy
Advocating for the rights and needs of neurodiverse individuals is a key focus for us. We strive to raise awareness, challenge stigmas, and promote acceptance and understanding of neurodiversity within our communities.
Neurodiversity Education
We want companies and organizations to understand neurodivergent diagnoses, such as ADHD, Autism, and more, in the community and the workplace. See Me offers presentations to educate on neurodiversity and how the community can work together to become more inclusive.
Community Engagement
See Me is active in the community by participating at community events, advocating for inclusion at playgrounds, and speaking at organizations to provide education and awareness to employees and other groups.
